Polyester OverBraiding Yarn
Type
PSTR (MIL-C-572)
Material:
Continuous filament, high tenacity, round, bright, homopolymer polyester yarn,
220 denier (50 filament) and 1100 denier (250 filament).
Temperature:
-100F to 350F (-73C to 177C). Melts at 482F(250C).
Colors:
Natural (off-white). Others available as special order, subject to dye lot minimums.
Finish:
Untreated (U) or coated with a non-corrosive flame retardant polyurethane (P). The
coated yarn provides superior abrasion and fluid resistant properties..
Put-Up:
Up to eight (8) parallel ends wound on cardboard tubes (T) or plastic ratchet bobbins (R)
suitable for use on New England Butt Number 2 Braiding Machines. Approximately 4
ounces/package.
Nomex Overbraiding Yarn
Type
PAA (MIL-C-572)
Material:
Electrical grade, continuous filament non melting aromatic polyamide (Nomex) yarn,
200 denier (100 filament) and 1200 denier (600 filament).
Temperature:
-67F to 500F (-55C to 260C). Decomposes at 700F(371C).
Colors:
Natural (off-white) and Green. Others available as special order, subject to dye lot
minimums. Color consistency cannot be guaranteed as Nomex is considered a non-dyable
yarn.
Finish:
Untreated (U) or Bonded (B) with a non-corrosive flame retardant polyamide. The
bonded finish provides superior abrasion and fluid resistant properties.
Put-Up:
Up to eight (8) parallel ends wound on cardboard tubes (T) or plastic ratchet bobbins (R)
suitable for use on New England Butt Number 2 Braiding Machines. Approximately 4
ounces/package.
